Love Island's Iain Stirling jokes Anton has 'two weeks to live' with mystery illness

The future of Love Island hunk Anton Danyluk looks pretty bleak, if voiceover man Iain Stirling's jokey diagnosis comes true.

The Scottish gym owner was removed from the villa by medics, after he was hit by a mystery illness.

With many viewers baffled as to where the 24-year-old had disappeared to, Iain Stirling informed them that poor Anton may only have weeks left to go.

Iain said: "Anton's not here, he's a bit poorly. We sent him to Juan Juan the Medical Man who sadly gave him just two weeks to live."

He then gave a moment's pause, for comic effect: "...in the villa before he goes home to Scotland."

Fortunately, Anton has since returned to the villa after spending a night away to recover but he was sorely missed during Wednesday's episode.

One worried fan asked on Twitter : "Where has Anton disappeared to?"

Another thought he had 'done a Sherif Lanre', who was removed earlier in the series after an incident involving Molly-Mae Hague.

Referring to this moment, another fan asked: "Is Anton still in the villa? Did he get sherifed?"

Others were worried that Anton had been 'kidnapped' after his blazing row with Belle Hassan.

Her father, movie hard man Tamer Hassan, had promised to 'take down' Anton if he crossed his daughter and promised to 'snatch him'.

One concerned viewer tweeted: ""See how Anton didn’t make an appearance this episode? He’s been kidnapped by Belle’s dad."

Among the more mischievous viewers were those that took Iain's words as confirmation that Anton was a dead cert for the final.

The fact that he said that Anton could 'go home in two weeks' seems to suggest that he and Belle could be one of the final three.

This may not be far off, with bookmakers backing him to go all the way, mystery illnesses allowing.

*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
