Love Island's Iain Stirling celebrates his first Father's Day by rewatching Scotland and England match

Love Island 's Iain Stirling celebrated his first Father's Day today but had an unusual request for how he wanted to spend it.

Back in March, Iain and his wife Laura Whitmore welcomed a baby girl and today when Laura asked him how he would like to spend his day, Scot Iain requested that they rewatched Friday's football match where Scotland and England went head to head resulting in a 0-0 draw.

Iain went along to the game on Friday at Wembley with his pal Gordon Smart to cheer on the Tartan Army but he wanted to watch it again, this time on the big screen.

Sharing his request on Instagram, Laura said: "Asked @iaindoesjokes what he'd like to do for Father's Day... so now we're rewatching the Scotland game (laughing emoji)".

One fan wrote: "No Scotland, no party!"

Another added: "Too right! Bloody brilliant it was, Fingers crossed for Tuesday!"

One said: "That's an epic choice."

While one commented: "Best pressie ever along with his 2 girls."

Scots born comedian Iain who provides the witty voiceovers for Love Island and his wife, show presenter Laura, revealed back in December that they were expecting their first child together with a sweet Instagram post.

Posting a picture of Sweet Child Of Mine Guns 'N Roses babygrow, with the words 'coming 2021', Laura had written: "So I've always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life. A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we’ve chosen not to share publicly.

"However I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share - and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control. Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021."

Laura then revealed that they were expecting a baby girl in her new self-help book No One Can Change Your Life Except for You.

She wrote: "As I finish this book, it doesn't end at chapter nine, there's a new chapter coming into my life - in the form of a baby girl currently growing inside me and that scares the s**t out of me.

"I once swallowed a bug and freaked out there was a live bug inside me.

"A live human is a whole new level of freaking out but I am excited because there's a lot of good in the world, there's a lot of potential."

Laura and Iain have yet to reveal their daughter's name.
