Love Island's Iain Stirling books afternoon off from show to watch Scotland game

Love Island’s Iain Stirling has booked the afternoon off from the show so he can watch Scotland play England.

The Scot made the demand when he signed his contract to narrate the ITV series this summer.

Euro 2020 is Scotland’s first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup and they take on their old rivals in the group stage on June 18 at 8pm.

Iain, who is married to Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore, 36, said: “Love Island contract negotiations. You hear about them all the time. I wonder what demands people make. Genuinely true, I said that I need to leave early on June 18.

“That was the only thing I told my agent to negotiate with Love Island this year. That is hand on my heart the honest truth.

“Because that’s Scotland England. So that one’s in the bag. That has always been between me and Laura – like that’ll be my first, ‘I’m out the house’.”
