Love Island's Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore give their TV star dog a makeover and reveal his Arctic Monkeys 'incident'

Love Island's Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore couldn't resist showing off their Maltipoo Mick's new haircut.

Presenter Iain joked that the dog got more airtime than them in a recent advert and it emerged that he also has some rock star behaviour.

Mick, who turned six in January, is a cross between a Maltese and a toy poodle and is named after the lead singer of the Rolling Stones.

Laura recently said he was the ideal pet because he's hypoallergenic and doesn't lose his hair, as well as being small enough to take on jobs with her.

The presenter who is now pregnant with her first baby, took Mick for some much needed pampering and got him a haircut ahead of the good weather.

Iain showed off a picture of their shaggy haired dog ahead of his beauty session and later revealed the results - as he posed complete with a bandana.

Laura commented: "Just picked Mick up from the Groom Room Camden. Why is he so cute?"

And Iain then showed off a video of a recent advert the couple did for Ringfit which appeared to feature Mick more than them.

He joked: "When you dog is on tele more than you."

Mick who played an important role in Laura and Iain's recent wedding has also attended lots of interviews with Laura and has his own pet passport.

She said of him: "Everything he does is funny. He once peed on a member of the Arctic Monkeys. That was embarrassing! It’s a lot of work having a dog but he just brings so much joy into my life.

"It’s hard to explain – he creates a lovely atmosphere wherever he is.

And since I’ve had him I’ve met so many neighbours in the park I’d never normally talk to. His little face is so welcoming after a long tough day and he gives the best cuddles."
