Love Island couple Hugo Hammond and Amy Day have arrived back to UK separately following their awkward dumping from the villa.
The genetically-blessed pair found a connection in Casa Amor after Hugo’s ‘tragic’ six-week search for love.
Although it seemed as though Hugo and Amy’s relationship was going from strength-to-strength when the 24-year-old PE teacher decided to bring back the brunette bombshell to the main villa, cracks soon started to show and after they were dumped by their fellow islanders, things took an awkward turn for the worst.
During their exit interviews, Hugo let slip that his search for love in the villa had been a ‘tragic’ story while standing next to Amy – who looked less than impressed with his thoughtless statement.
Now, it appears that the pair arrived back to Heathrow airport separately after flying home from Majorca.
Taking to Instagram after touching down on home soil, Hugo thanked his fans for their support and kind messages as his Love Island journey came to a stark end.
However, his fellow islander Amy was nowhere to be seen in the snaps and videos posted on his page.
Alongside a snap of Hugo clutching onto his two Love Island suitcases, the reality TV star admitted that his journey in the villa was one of the best experiences of his life.
And although they appeared to be going strong while on the show, Hugo failed to reference Amy in his emotional statement.
“Home sweet home,” the cheerful star penned.
“A huge thanks to everyone for all their support throughout my journey on Love Island. Turning on my phone to all your lovely messages has been amazing.
“Super excited to spend some quality time with my family whilst I quarantine and catch up on the show, looks like I’ve missed some juicy ones.”
Meanwhile, brunette beauty Amy flew home with her villa BFF Clarrise Juliettè who was also dumped from the island along with Northern hunk, Sam Jackson.

It comes after Amy branded Hugo as ‘fake’ before the four stars jetted back to the UK.
Their brief relationship appears to have completely crumbed following Hugo’s careless words after calling his love story ‘tragic’, and Amy has since hit out at her former flame.
Calling Hugo’s actions ‘fake,’ Amy said: “It was almost instant, the next day after returning from Casa Amor] he was very hot and cold.

“He would never naturally choose to come and chill with me. So, for me it felt it was all for show.”
“I think he’s fake because he wasn’t telling me that he didn’t like me. I do wish I’d opened up and re-coupled up with someone else.”
