Love Island star Greg O’Shea has finally met his baby nephew a year after he was born.
The fly half for the Ireland national rugby sevens team, who are heading to the Olympics this year, took to his Instagram to post pictures of him holding the adorable tot.
The star captioned the picture: “It took nearly a year to finally meet my little nephew but the wait was worth it”
The gorgeous toddler is his sister Jessie’s child, but as she lives in Amsterdam he had been unable to meet the newest addition to the family due to travel restrictions. Opening up about how hard he found it to Goss.ie he said: “She just had a baby boy which I haven’t met yet. I cannot wait for restrictions to lift so I can meet the little man.”
“Although 2020 has physically separated us all from each other, I feel the pandemic has in some ways brought us closer together and has made us appreciate each others company more.”
Greg’s followers, including Yvonne Connolly were thrilled for him. Yvonne simply replied with a heart emoji.
Meanwhile Corinne Whittaker wrote: “He’s a cool little dude.”
Fiona Hughes cheekily replied: “My ovaries just did a little jig.”
And Stacy Mesches commented: Aw Greg! So delighted for ye he’s adorable!!”
Despite his family reunion Greg did take time to watch Love Island and took to his stories to share his hope that an Irish person enters the villa.
In a series of clips he wrote: “Crazy that the last time the summer Love Island was on I was in there. So cool to see it back.
“The first islanders seem like a lovely bunch but hopefully an Irish person goes in at some stage to add a bit of craic!!"
Greg famously won Love Island with Amber Gill but the pair subsequently had an extremely messy break up.
