Love Island's Greg misses major skull operation to stay with Amber

Lose Island winner Greg O'Shea missed a major skull operation to stay with Amber Gill.

The Irish rugby player appeared on today's Loose Women, but he should have been back home having his surgery.

Presenter Andrea McLean asked Greg about his op after hearing that he had "bones coming through" his face.

Greg explained that he was meant to be having a broken nose and cracked forehead sorted out.

But the £25,000 prize winner, who left the villa just over a week over, decided to spend more time with Amber.

He told the Loose ladies: "I’ve a broken nose and a cracked forehead."

Panelist Janet Street-Porter then felt the damage when she pushed a dent in his head

Greg explained: "I was supposed to go home and get the operation done but it didn't play out.

"Now is the worst time to get facial surgery - shave my hair off and do the whole thing."

Greg also revealed that he is opting against doing club appearances and advertising, instead opting to go back to rugby - and he also wants to qualify as a solicitor

The Irish hunk said: “Rugby is my first love and I also want to qualify as a solicitor. If I just dropped that now… I want to get back to my boys, get back to training, take what I can out of Love Island… but I got her [he added of Amber]!”

The pair joined the Loose Women (ITV)

Greg and Amber looked very happy together during their first chat on TV since Sunday's reunion show.

Amber teased that she was still waiting for Greg to officially ask her out, revealing: “No, no, we’re exclusively dating but we’re not official yet.”

Greg added: “We only met each other for the first time on the 15th July.”

“We’re definitely going in the right direction. I can definitely see us getting there.

“She needs to meet my friends and family. She hasn’t met any of my friends yet.”

Greg didn't want to steal the money (ITV)

The pair admitted it has felt strange readjusting to normal life after being surrounded by cameras and microphones for 24 hours a day.

Amber said: “The villa feels more normal to me now than being in the real world. I was there for that long. I can go anywhere I want, it’s weird – and having my phone!”

Greg joked that he could have run away with the £50k prize fund but it would have mad him "the most hated man in Britain".

*Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
