Love Island's George suggests 'real reason' for being dumped from the villa first

Love Island's George Fensom has hinted at the real reason why he was booted out of villa first.

The 24-year-old left the show after failing to find a match with any of the single girls.

George said he went on the show to find his future wife, but he seemed upbeat about why he was chosen to hop it when he returned to social media.

Filming himself, wearing a pair of designer shades, he said: "Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng.

"But yeah obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and yeah, just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh."

Leng is slang for attractive and will probably be bandied around a lot on the show.

However, the compliment won't be aimed at George after Whitney Adebayo chose to couple up with Mehdi Edno, leaving the business executive without a match.

George's future in the villa was in doubt before Love Island after tweets including homophobic slurs resurfaced.

The Bedford-born reality star found himself under fire from social media users after a string of comments reappeared on Twitter following the news he'd bagged a place on the show.

One tweet from George's now deleted account read: "Shut up you f****t," while a second read: "Same gay tweets day in day out."

George was informed by bosses at ITV that the footage and comments had resurfaced before he entered the villa.

Speaking to the Mirror, the 24-year-old said: "In regards to the account, it's really unfortunate that it's been brought up because that isn't the person that I am today.

"Looking back on those tweets, I was really naive and really young to think that was the right thing to say.

"It's one of them situations, it doesn't show the man that I am today in any way, shape or form and that's pretty much it."

Some fans called for George to be axed from Love Island before it started, but he told us: "All I would say is everyone's made mistakes, everyone has said things that they regret, the difference in the way I would defend myself is I am owning that."
