Love Island's Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have confirmed they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, after sharing clips of a romantic "proposal" on Instagram.
Luca, who met Gemma while staying in the villa this year, wanted to wait for the perfect time to make things between them exclusive. Last night, he finally asked her to be his girlfriend through a rather romantic gesture.
After popping the question, both Luca and shared snaps of their loving evening on social media. While the pair didn't win the ITV2 show, it seems like the two have fallen for each other.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned winners of the reality dating show, while Gemma and Luca bagged second place.
In a shared video, Luca led Gemma through a beautifully ornate corridor, complete with romantic red roses, candles, red balloons and rose petals. They headed towards a swimming pool, where the words "Be my girlfriend" floated, reports the Mirror.
Gemma was clearly taken aback by his sweet gesture, as she mouthed the words "Oh my God". He then handed her a bag from Cartier, which had a bangle inside that he helped to place on her wrist.
Not one to scrimp on a luxury celebration for Gemma, Luca even hired a cellist to play music while the pair embraced and celebrated their love for one another.
Sharing some photos of the night which she won't forget in a hurry, she penned alongside it: "Finally official. Thank you @lucabish for such a special night!" alongside a heart emoji.
Their fellow Islanders rushed to celebrate them on their big news.
Winner Ekin-Su wrote: "Luca did well, congratulations," whilst Ikenna - who crashed out of the show early on into the series - also congratulated the pair on taking their romance to the next step.
Luca finally met Gemma's dad, Michael Owen, during a recent family holiday - and the dressage rider was thrilled with how it went, insisting it "couldn’t have gone better" and she was glad they bonded so well.
"It was so nice! We got away for four days, it was a bit of like, got a bit of content, bit of chill time but yeah it was a really nice environment for him to meet everyone.
"They all get on really well and how he was with my brothers and sisters as well, like, so cute!" she said, before adding: "Let’s be girlfriend and then we can talk about moving in together!"
Luca had previously teased he had big plans for him and Gemma and how he'd ask her to be official with him.
