Love Island's Faye Winter says Teddy 'doesn't have a choice' over guide dogs plan

Love Island finalist Faye Winter has admitted she has already discussed plans to help more guide dogs with Teddy while in the villa.

The lettings manager, who often shared snaps of the adorable dogs she looked after before starring on the reality show, has revealed she has no plans to stop caring for dogs, according to DevonLive.

After showing off a photobook that her sister had made of Faye's time spent with an adorable golden retriever, the 26-year-old wanted to speak more about her time as a guide dog fosterer and what exactly it entails.

She asked her 1.1million Instagram followers to send in questions about her experience as a volunteer for those who may have considered doing it themselves.

One of the most popular questions asked was how she manages to give up the dogs after spending so much time caring for them.

Replying, she said people need to remember who they could be helping.

She explained: "Someone who can't live without that dog and they have no life. You could be helping a child, you could be helping someone's nan or someone's dad so yeah, you just need to remember why you've done it in the first place."

Although she also admitted that it is hard work and urged others to not to go into it unless they're passionate as it's not something to be taken lightly.

One of her followers asked what it is a volunteer actually does, with Faye responding: "You give up basically all your free time to look after a guide dog. So it's like having your own dog."

Faye revealed that during the last four to five years she has looked after six dogs.

The reality TV star explained that in terms of training, they go to a special dog school to be trained by professionals Monday to Friday 9-5.

However, she said there is an element you need to do while you're out.

Someone asked if she's planning on continuing to be a volunteer with Faye responding 'one million percent'

She said: "Me and Teddy spoke about it all the time in the villa and he knows it's something that we're going to be doing, he doesn't have a choice. But definitely will once we're settled.

"All I can say with the guide dogs is I'll be helping at every opportunity I can so yeah once we're all settled I'll be able to know a bit more about that."
