Love Island’s Ellie Brown fuels boob job rumours at 'blue carpet' premiere for Man City film

It’s a film about the incredible life of Manchester City’s greatest goalkeeper, Bert Trautmann - so of course, at its glitzy premiere, the red carpet was ditched in favour of blue.

Famous faces from Coronation Street, Love Island and Hollyoaks joined the cast of The Keeper at Vue Printworks to mark the launch of the film, directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller.

Standing out in the crowd was Love Island’s Ellie Brown, who did little to downplay rumours she’s had a boob job in her skintight black mini dress.

The 21-year-old Geordie, who arrived with Abigail Goddard and fellow Love Island star Stephanie Lam, was happy to chat to the M.E.N. and revealed she had recently moved to Manchester.

The night wouldn’t be a premiere in Manchester without a few Corrie favourites - and leading the way was Bruce Jones, aka Les Battersby, wearing jeans, a shirt and jacket.

Also making an appearance after an explosive week on the cobbles was Harry Visinoni, who looked streets away from his character sulky Seb Franklin dressed in a smart blue suit and open collar white shirt.

Callum Harrison, who plays evil Clayton Hibbs, beamed as he made his entrance wearing a blue checked three-piece suit.

The apt colour was certainly the recurring theme for the evening as Love Island’s Scott Thomas joined the trend for blue suits.

The brother of Adam and Ryan was joined by Ex on the Beach star Ross Worswick and X Factor’s Brad Howard.

The film's story follows former Nazi paratrooper turned prisoner of war Bert, played by David Kross, who had to overcome post-war distrust and protest after being scouted to play football professionally in England.

Bert went from St Helens Town to Manchester City, where in the face of adversity, he won over both his teammates and the fans before famously playing 17 minutes of the 1956 FA Cup final with a broken neck.

Dressed in a smart grey suit with polka dot hanky, David, from Henstedt-Ulzburg in Germany, sported a rather impressive moustache, which set him apart from his clean shaven look in the film.

Bert’s love interest Margaret, who he later marries, is played by Freya Mavor, whose understated gold patterned dress stood out against the blue of the walkway as she glided towards the cinema entrance.

John Henshaw, who plays football scout Jack Friar in The Keeper (Stephen Farrell)

Also featuring in the film is Early Doors star John Henshaw, who plays football scout Jack Friar, as well as Gary Lewis as Man City’s Jock Thompson.

Other TV personalities who attended the event included ex Hollyoaks couple Amanda Clapham, who teamed a red rose patterned dress with ankle boots, and Alfie Browne-Sykes, who opted for jeans, Converse trainers and checked jacket.

Damon Gough, aka Badly Drawn Boy opted for the casual look, wearing his trademark tea cosy hat teamed with a winter coat, black jeans and bright orange trainers.

Dressed in a dapper three-piece grey suit, Jamie Lomas was joined by girlfriend Portia Hughes, who oozed style in her black cutaway dress.

Following the blue carpet, celebs, press and special guests, including former City players Joe Corrigan, Tony Book and Mike Summerbee, as well as members of the Trautmann family, were treated to an exclusive screening of the film.

The Keeper will be released in cinemas across the UK on April 5.
