Love Island's Demi and Luke forced to put breaks on romance due to coronavirus lockdown

Love Island's Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott's path to becoming official has been halted due to the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown.

The cute pair - who came in third on the 2020 series of Winter Love Island - have been forced to hit the breaks on their relationship as they are both in isolation apart - as they do their part to try and stop the deadly bug spreading n accordance to government guidelines.

Luke, 24, recently shared on YouTube that he and Demi, 21, are finding the lockdown hard but that they are not officially a couple as they are yet to figure out if they are compatible on the outside world - despite Love Island ending in January.

The reality star responded to a fan who asked about him and the red-head: "Me and Demi are good, obviously this lockdown is really hard for us.

"Obviously, we do see each other quite a bit, before that we were staying in hotels and working together and she’s spending lockdown with her family and I’m spending it with mine.

"We do Facetime, Snapchat and talk so we are going good. We are just seeing each other at the minute, we are just seeing how things are going."

He added: "We haven’t had the full test on the outside world yet because of this lockdown, so we are just going to see how things go."

Last month Luke was embroiled in a cheating storm after being accused of having a one-night stand with a woman he met at a club appearance - which he denies.

It is claimed that the romp took place in Cardiff after he took part in a PA at Revolution when he met the pretty blonde student, who studies at Cardiff University.

A pal told Mirror Online: "Luke caught her eye and they spent a couple of hours in the club getting to know each other.

"There was lots of heavy drinking involved.

"He took her back to his hotel room at the Mercure Cardiff where they continued to party - she even got him to film a birthday message for her mate, who was out celebrating.

"She told friends they slept together and was bragging the next day on social media about getting pregnant with his babies. One mate warned her if she hadn't used condoms, she could definitely get pregnant."

However, former heating engineer Luke denies that anything happened with the student and told friends that the woman was joined by a male friend at Luke's hotel.

"Luke is aware that there are rumours he cheated doing the rounds on social media, but there's no truth to it," said a source close to him.

"He didn't sleep with this woman or kiss her, and the video he filmed with her was a birthday message she wanted him to record for a friend."

Luke, who is still dating 21-year-old Demi, is said to have followed the pretty student on Instagram that night, but unfollowed her the next day.

She was filmed on Snapchat the morning after telling a friend: "Oh my god, oh f**k. I love Luke M. We're going to have babies."

Luke's insider told The Mirror: "The woman didn't stay the night with him and nothing happened between them.

"Demi is aware of the rumours and are no issues there."
