Love Island's Danny Williams and Jourdan Raine: It won't be a surprise if Amber gets back with Michael

Dumped Love Island contestants Danny Williams and Jourdan Raine are backing Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths to go the distance.

The couple split up earlier in the series after Michael decided to pursue a romance with new islander Joanna Chimonides.

Since Joanna’s departure, however, Michael has admitted that he still has feelings for Amber in a shock turnaround.

Speaking to the Standard’s Off The Island video series, Danny and Jourdan predicted that Amber could give her former flame a second chance.

“If you’ve got feelings for somebody, it’s hard to shut it off quickly,” Danny said. “If she gets back with him, it won’t be a surprise.”

“I would hate to see her do something purely because she's scared of what people will think ,” he added, alluding to the recent social media backlash surrounding Michael’s treatment of Amber following their initial split.

“I want her to follow her feelings and if she's really just likes Michael, like she said three episodes ago, two episodes ago, she should pursue it despite what people are saying.”

Jourdan suggested that friendship groups in the villa could also play a part in shaping Amber’s decision.

“I think the girls definitely always have a lot to play in decisions that certain people make,” she said.

“She's very strong minded so she can make her mind up but she might just just be swayed a little bit more in that direction but I feel like she'll know based on her feelings which way is the right way.”

Love Island First Look Amber Has a BIG Decision to Make Love Island 18-07-2019

Last night’s episode of Love Island saw Michael and Amber share their first kiss since their split in a special challenge.

The firefighter also apologised to his fellow islander and let her know that he “still likes” her, leaving her feeling confused.

“I actually cannot believe what is happening,” she admitted. “I cannot believe Michael of all people, pushed his pride to the side and said how he really felt.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. Off The Island airs on Fridays.
