Love Island's Danica Taylor 'given just an hour's notice' before entering villa

Love Island star Danica Taylor has confessed that she was only given an hour's notice before making her iconic entrance into the villa last summer.

Dancing queen Danica, 21, turned several heads when she waltzed her way into the Majorcan villa to join the likes of Ekin-Su, Gemma Owen, and Tasha Ghouri - but the bombshell wasn't quite prepared after she was given just an hour's notice by producers before she made her unforgettable entrance.

Fan favourite Danica has confessed that she flew out before the show even started and all along, she was told that she would be a bombshell in the series - but what she didn't know was when exactly she would be joining the rest of her fellow islanders.

Recalling the life-changing moment she finally made her entrance, Danica shared: " It got closer and closer to me going on the show and it was literally one hour before meeting the islanders that they said 'you're going to be going in on a challenge and this is what you're going to be doing.

"It was literally only an hour before," she told OK! Magazine, revealing that she had told producers she wanted to make her big entrance all alone, without any other bombshells by her side.

"Imagine if I'd said no. They were like 'so this is what it is, you're going to be in a shell and the Islanders are going to run down and then you're going to turn around and say 'hey boys', and then you're going to slide in, give a sexy little dance and then you're going to go over to all of the boys and do all this," Danica recalled.

Although Danica came across as uber-confident during her time on the show, the dancer was riddled with nerves before making her way into the villa.

"I started getting nervous when I heard them all running down because imagine, I'm in this shell and I've got producers going 'showtime' and all I can hear is them going 'woohoo'," she penned in her column for OK! Magazine.

Danica, a dancer from Leicester explored several connections while she was on the ITV dating show, but struggled to find someone who 'matched her energy'.

Eventually, she did find someone who she could see things working with, but she and Jamie Allen were swiftly voted off as the public's least-favourite couple.
