Love Island's Dani Dyer welcomes twin girls with footballer and shares first adorable photo

Former Love Island winner Dani Dyer has announced that she has given birth to twin girls after revealing earlier this year that she was expecting her first children with West Ham forward boyfriend Jarrod Bowen.

The reality star, who is the daughter of ex-EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, is already mum to Santiago, two, with ex Sammy Kimmence, announced the joyful news of her twins' arrival on Thursday (May 25).

She took to Instagram to reveal the happy news as she shared the first picture of her adorable newborns. New mum-of-three Dani revealed they had been born on Monday as she captioned the snap: "22.05.23," with a pink heart.

Images showed her baby daughters together in the hospital before a photo showed Jared with a car seat in each hand as he carried his bundles of joy out of hospital as they headed back home. The couple, who are yet to reveal their girls' names, were quickly flooded with congratulatory messages.

Dani initially thought she was only pregnant with one child when she found out the news, before being told it was twins during a scan on November 29.

Announcing the news at the end of January, she wrote on Instagram: "We have been keeping a little secret... Our little TWINS. So excited to meet our babies and watch santi be the best big brother.. The biggest surprise of our lives but feeling SO blessed.. our family is getting a lot bigger and we can’t wait."

Dani, who won the 2018 series of the ITV2 dating contest Love Island with Jack Fincham, then later confirmed that the twins will be identical. The reveal came as she shared the reaction of her TV star dad, who played Mick Carter in EastEnders, finding out the news. "Hold up. Are you f****** joking me?????" he asked in response.

"Dad I can't believe it. They missed it on the scan and now it's come up as identical twins," she told him. "WTF. Oh my f***** god," he exclaimed. And she cried jokingly: "Helppppppp," in a hilarious text exchange.
