The uncle of Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard has jumped to his defence after he ditched Amy Hart.
Amy, 26, had therapy after Curtis split with her on the ITV2 show.
The 23-year-old is the brother of Strictly dance pro AJ.
But Phil Pritchard, 71, insisted: “For Amy to say Curtis is a compulsive liar is unfair, he is a really honest lad.
“The criticism will hurt Curtis.
“He is doing his best in there, he will be upset he has upset Amy.
“He is very respectful to women.
“Curtis is not the sort to sleep around, use anyone.
“He is a good lad.”
The hit show has been keen to protect the wellbeing of contestants following the suicides of former Islanders Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.
