Love Island's Connor Durman accused of racism for telling ex off for 'dating black boys'

Love Island's Connor Durman has been accused of racism over a string texts about his ex girlfriend 'liking black boys'.

The coffee bean salesman, who has been dumped from the island this week, sent the messages to Stevie-Leigh Pich via Whatsapp after she told him she slept with someone else following their break-up.

The news sent Connor, 25, into overdrive, and fire off mean texts to his ex which also labelled Stevie a “slut” and a “slag”.

Connor also wrote it was “rank” and “grim” that Stevie chose to sleep with him.

The coffee bean salesman sent a string of offensive messages to his ex-girlfriend (ITV)

A friend of Stevie told The Sun: “It’s disgusting that he can send messages like that given who he's paired up with on the show.

“He kept telling Stevie that it made him sick that she’d seen the guy and was really nasty.

“I hope Sophie will think twice when she finds out what he’s been saying. It’s vile language to use.”

During his time in the villa, Connor was coupled up with Sophie Piper, who is mixed race (ITV/REX)

And another message in their conversation read: “It makes me sick mate I can’t move on”.

The pair were in a relationship for more than three years and they lived together in Sydney.

And during last year's Love Island series, Connor and his ex discussed Ovie Soko - leading Connor to tell Stevie that her "liking black boys" was "such a put off".

Connor reportedly called his ex a 'slut' and a 'slag' for sleeping with a black man (ITV)

He told her: “You've been a slut, I can tell. Go bang so[me] black boy."

During his time in the villa, Connor was coupled up with Rochelle Humes' sister Sophie Piper, who is mixed race.

However Connor was brutally dumped by his Love Island co-stars as they had to choose between him and partner Sophie.

The couple landed at the bottom of the public vote, meaning that the remaining Islanders were forced to pick who to save.

It was revealed that they had chosen to save Sophie, who didn't leave the villa with him.
