Last week I predicted Lucinda and Millie would cause a stir, heads would be turned and the flakey couples would go their separate ways… you might want to call me Mystic Marcel from now on because I was bang on the money.
I was looking forward to the fall out and it did not disappoint. Aaron decided to call it a day with Sharon to make himself available for the new girls, it's understandable that he’d be feeling a bit confident he was picked by both of the girls for dinner dates but then again so was Hugo.
The new girls also picked Brad and Liam who were obviously their main targets the others were just side dishes as both ended up coupling up with the boys leaving the balance a little bit off. This always means there’s some fresh meat about to walk through the door. Cue Teddy.

Toby ended up the bad guy because he chose Chloe and dumped Kaz. Now I said it last week, they both have great personalities but they were forcing something that wasn’t really there and now Toby is following his heart a little bit more he’s turned himself into somewhat of a villain as he’s left a girl he said he was 100% into behind.
I feel like there’s a lot of ways this relationship could go, I’m getting subtle Wes and Meghan vibes but I feel like these two are a lot better suited than Kaz and Toby were.
Speaking of Kaz, this woman handled the whole situation with grace and on Love Island that is how you move forward. I think she was right in expecting some sort of girl code from Chloe before laying it on Toby in the Challenge but didn’t let that ruin her spirit.
Chloe really did act like a snake and all the girls should be wary of her.
Now that Sexy Policewoman Challenge was a bit awkward to watch. We had recently dumped girls kissing exes, new girls kissing the same exes, Chloe stepping on Kaz’s toes, Rachel face planting the platform and Hugo, poor Hugo getting air from every single girl.
I expected maybe Sharon or Faye to pick him just out of human decency but maybe the Ringing of Fake Fake Fake was still in their heads. I feel like Hugo is maybe getting a little bit jaded by the constant rejections and I hope he’s getting the support he needs in there as he’s definitely had the hardest time out of all the Islanders so far.
Teddy had all the single girls swooning over him after their speed dates. I feel like he had the charm and the chat for all of them and had them all feeling special but I definitely clocked he had a special thing for Faye. I feel Rachel came on WAY too sexual, Kaz and him had a good chat but I think she warmed him up for the other girls, Sharon’s date there was zero spark but Faye was playing footsie and the playful banter that she loves was there from the off.
Faye has grown on me, at first I thought she was going to just be bitchy and crude but she’s actually a sweetheart putting up a front. Hopefully, Teddy can bring her walls down and they can go the distance. I’m here for it.
So Faye and Teddy Coupling up saw the dumping of Rachel and for me it was the right time for her to go. She made a massive error picking Brad to begin with and I don’t think she ever really settled into the villa. It’s like she was always on borrowed time and if it was going to come down to her and one of the original girls going home it was always going to be her. Loyalties and all that. So the dead wood is gone, it's even Stevens, 7 boys and 7 girls and the couples are looking the strongest they have so far this season.
Jake and Liberty, our 1st day lovebirds, are still going strong. Jake's head didn’t move an inch, mainly because the new girls didn’t go for him… I think they wanted someone taller.
Toby and Chloe definitely have chemistry - let's see if it is not just a flash in the pan. Liam and Millie seemed smitten all the way up until Millie started questioning how DEEP their connection was, I think she may have a few insecurities about dating a younger man but I think Liam will show her what he’s about and the coming weeks.
Brad and Lucinda is a weird one, they look great together but I think Lucinda is probably the best looking girl Brad’s ever pulled because he’s IN LOVE, he wants it all and won’t stop telling her. But I think his forwardness might be a bit daunting for Lucinda but she’s playing along for the time being.

Aaron and Kaz and Hugo and Sharon are in friendship couples. Islanders survive on friendship if their love interest hasn’t entered the villa yet. Aaron and Kaz have obviously built up a strong friendship and them having each others backs on their search for love is going to be nice to watch. Hugo and Sharon, however, have a slightly different vibe. There's been a bit of animosity between them in recent weeks but the fact they’re both originals has definitely played its part here.
So this week's Dr Marcel Predictions are...
We've got 5 strong couples and 2 friendship couples meaning that the impending Public vote on the most incompatible pairings means we're going to see one boy and one girl get dumped from the island and be back down to six couples by the end of this week. So this could mean a new boy and girl are about to enter the fray and cause a little disturbance before we say hello to the trouble that is Casa Amor. I can't wait.
