Love Island's Cheyanne Kerr reveals what she said to Paige Thorne before shock exit

Love Island's Cheyanne Kerr has revealed what she said to Welsh paramedic, Paige Thorne, after her shock exit from the show. The 23-year-old bombshell left the villa after Jacques O'Neill, who she'd been getting to know in the main villa, chose to "stick" with Paige.

The episode that aired on Thursday, July 7 saw the Islanders choose to "stick or twist" following this year's Casa Amor. All eyes were on Jacques as he stood up and announced that while he'd "explored different connections" and tested himself, he was ultimately going to stay with Paige, which came as a shock to Cheyanne who had been getting pretty close to the rugby player.

As Paige announced she was "super happy" and reunited with Jacques, host Laura Whitmore turned her attention to Cheyanne, who told her: "I felt like I had a connection with someone, my version of test is different to someone elses."

Cheyanne then declared she was referring to Jacques, adding: "He can’t trust himself. We shared a bed and kissed. I know that Paige is a nice girl. I just hope he treats her nice."

Before saying her goodbyes, alongside five other bombshells, Cheyanne was seen talking to Paige, but what exactly did she say?

In an exit interview with ITV, Cheyanne said: "I mentioned to Paige afterwards it wasn’t personal, I just wanted her to know what he’s like."

Cheyanne added: "I spent the majority of my time with Jacques. We shared a bed together and I know he said he wanted to get to know me more. We’d kissed. Then when it came to the recoupling he stuck with Paige. It was a bit like the Liam and Millie situation last year. I didn’t know what he was going to do until the last minute. I genuinely didn’t have a clue so that just shows how much we’d spoken and got along."

Liam Reardon and Millie Court were the victors of Love Island's 2021 series. However, that didn't come without its fair share of trouble as during Casa Amor, Liam kissed another girl - Lillie Haynes. In dramatic scenes last year, Lillie told Millie what had happened between her and Liam. The scenes were all too familiar for Love Island viewers this year.

One person commented on social media: "Cheyenne is gonna do a Lily from last year and spill the beans." Thinking the same, someone else said: "Paige and Jacques really about to get their Liam and Millie moment."

A teaser for Friday's episode has suggested heartbreak for Paige and Jacques as both Islanders can be seen crying in the trailer.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
