Love Island's Casa Amor could be axed for 2021 series

Love Island fans are concerned that Casa Amor will be absent in the upcoming series of the show.

Rumours are circulating that the controversial segment of the show will not feature, following in the footsteps on the US and South African series of the hit dating programme.

Both the most recent South African and American seasons did not feature Casa Amor, which is thought to be due to Covid restrictions.

Casa Amor usually takes part around half way through the series where it sees the men and women separated and one group going to the other villa named Casa Amor.

Other islanders arrive in the villas to tempt the originals into swapping who they are coupled up with.

Due to it being half way through, a lot of couples who thought they were safe together end up breaking up due to one or both partners coupling up with someone else.

This has ended in some very controversial episodes such as when Callum brought Molly back from Casa Amor in series six rather than coupling up with original islander Shaughna Phillips.

However, despite many fans thinking Casa Amor has been axed, many are already excited for the bombshell week in the next series.

One person tweeted: "Can't wait for Casa Amor already #LoveIsland."

Whilst another said: "That Love Island line up is underwhelming, they best bring better looking people for Casa Amor."

It has also been announced that ITV will offer islanders support after the show when it comes to money matters, trolling and dealing with their new found fame.

They will also be given help when it comes to job offers after leaving the villa.

This comes after two Love Island contestant deaths, Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon as well as previous host Caroline Flack.

Love Island is expected to return to our screens next Monday 28 June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
