Love Island's Camilla Thurlow dramatically quits Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Camilla Thurlow was left defeated by Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after slashing open her hand during a daring challenge.

The 29-year-old Scottish reality star was the last of 10 celebrities tasked with traversing a ravine (nicknamed the Devil’s throat) with a giant drop and crashing waterfall - with a metal ladder to be used like monkey bars to cross.

After watching her fellow celebrities successfully pass the challenge, Camilla’s nerves began to seep through to the forefront of her mind.

The star - as well as the other contestants - had to sing across the metal ladder, pausing half way to follow orders to hang from the crossing one hand at a time.

As the metal dug into her hand, Camilla faltered and slipped from the ladder, plunging several feet into the abyss before her safety harness caught her.

Getting tearful, Camilla revealed she felt: "So disappointed," after failing the challenge - only for Hollywood hunk Jeremy Irvine to commend her, saying: "why? Look, you’ve taken the skin off your own hand to stay on."

The team were then tasked with running down a mountain to a waiting car while carrying heavy backpacks of equipment.

Unfortunately, with a bleeding hand and with the weight of the bag combined with the sunshine, Camilla began to lose morale.

Athlete Heather Fisher rushed to her aide and helped her down the mountain - but this only caused tension with show host Anthony Middleton who slammed the women for teaming up when the down-hill sprint had been set as a solo task.

As Camilla’s confidence crumbled (with an angered Anthony screaming in her face), the reality star was given the opportunity to hand in her armband and quit the show - which, after a moment of reflection, she did.

The Love Island star was, however, told she had made the best decision for herself.

Later in the show, fans saw Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin also walk from the show after enduring torturous interrogation simulations which saw him blindfolded and forced to listen to constant noise for hours.
