Love Island's Brad will 'definitely' see Lucinda again but doesn't regret leaving villa

Love Island’s Brad McClelland has revealed that he will ‘definitely’ see Lucinda Stafford again once the ITV2 show comes to an end.

Brad and Lucinda were coupled up in the villa but were split up when they were voted as the least compatible pair by the British public.

The 26-year-old labourer made the difficult decision to dump himself and told Lucinda to stay in the Spanish villa and enjoy herself.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning, Brad claimed he will see Lucinda on the outside world - but doesn’t regret his decision to leave Love Island.

Showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold was keen to find out how Brad has been getting on since jetting back to the UK and asked him what the reaction has been.

"It's strange, it's not like anything I've had before. To be fair, I'm quite grateful that since I've been out I haven’t had that much hate," Brad said.

"It's been quite a lot of positive things so for me everything is good and I'm just taking it in my stride at the minute."

Richard then asked Brad if he thinks it was the right decision to leave, to which he replied: "I think at the time yeah it was, I mean, even now it was. One person had to go and for me, I kinda just put myself there. I don't regret what I did."

Quizzed on whether or not he'll see Lucinda again once she's back in the UK, Brad didn't hesitate and said: "Oh definitely, even if its not on a romantic level, just as a friend.

"She was a big part of my journey in there, so it would be nice to see her again," Brad added.

However, it may come as a shock to Brad to learn that Lucinda allegedly has a boyfriend on the outside world.

Lucinda is reported to have reunited with her boyfriend, footballer Aaron Connolly, not long before entering the villa - and it's said he's at home taking care of her dog while she flirts with other fellas.

An insider told The Sun : "Lucinda and Aaron reconciled before she went on Love Island. It was meant to be a big secret because there are strict rules about it.

"No one wants to watch a dating show where the stars are really pining for lovers back home.

"Aaron was only too happy looking after Lucinda’s dog. It makes him feel like they are still the couple they are."

However, a source close to the show insisted that Lucinda is single.

Now she's caught in a love triangle with Danny Bibby and Aaron Francis, having told them both she wants to continue to get to know the other one.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
