Love Island's Brad in tears as he dumps himself but Lucinda decides to stay in the villa

Love Island's Brad McClelland was seen walking out of the villa alone on Wednesday evening after dumping himself.

In a shock twist, his partner Lucinda Strafford chose to stay on the show and is clearly hoping to find love with someone else.

It comes after Brad and Lucinda were announced as the least compatible couple - as voted for by the British public - and therefore were given the huge decision as to who should be dumped.

The 26-year-old labourer from Northumberland hadn't exactly hit it off with Lucinda, and many viewers felt they were a "boring" couple.

But Brad was more than happy to be the one who walked and encouraged Lucinda to stay.

"Are you sure? Oh my God," she said to him, before asking: "Do you not think we should go together?"

Brad told her that it was up to her as she told him she does "really like" him, but equally had only been there for one week.

"Should I stay and see where it takes me? I'm just numb, completely numb," she continued.

At that point, Brad was in tears as he realised he would leaving the show on his lonesome.

However, he wasn't the only one in tears as some of the original girls - including Sharon - were seen crying as Brad announced his decision.

Before he wheeled his suitcase out, Brad shared a moment with Lucinda as she told him: "I won’t fancy anyone like I fancy you, you’re literally like my dream person."

But Love Island fans were quick to accuse her of not telling the truth.

One person tweeted: "Why’s she lying to him ? #loveisland," while another posted: "if he was your dream person why are u not leaving with him #LoveIsland."

A third fan claimed: "Lucinda doesn't give a flying f**k if Brad left or stays #LoveIsland."

And a fourth viewer added: "you were my dream person" then why you letting him go by himself, Lucinda? pls explain for me, babes."

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
