Love Island’s Anton Danyluk breaks silence over mystery illness as he returns to the villa

Love Island viewers were delighted to see Anton Danyluk back in the villa last night following his mystery illness.

The gym owner has been barely been seen on the ITV2 show since Tuesday after a mystery illness led to him being briefly removed from the Mallorcan luxury pad.

Anton wasn't shown in Wednesday's episode, while he only featured in half of Thursday's installment.

In scenes aired last night, the 24-year-old, who is coupled up with Belle Hassan, surprised the Islanders with his return, and they flocked round him to give him hugs as he walked back into the villa.

He didn’t reveal exactly what was the matter - although narrator Iain Stirling made a joke that Anton’s hairy derriere had been expertly shaved and his “backside has never been smoother”.

He began by introducing himself to the three new islanders, Greg O'Shea, Harley Brash and India Reynolds, before heading to the Beach Hut.

He said: "I’m back, I'm back to my best and feeling the best I've ever felt in here, so I'm happy to be back to see the family again ."

The other Islanders, specifically Belle, were delighted that Anton was back to his best.

She said in the Beach Hut: "It's definitely nice to have Anton back, as he keeps saying, absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Anton was also brought up to speed with the recent events in the villa, specifically that Michael Griffiths told Amber Gill that he still has feelings for her.

The pair, who were in a couple before Casa Amor, split when the firefighter brought back new girl Joanna Chimonides, who was dumped earlier this week.

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
