But after telling potential love interest Anna that Molly-Mae was more his type, Anton reckons he's figured out the reason behind his lack of success.
In the beach hut after getting a dressing down from fellow islanders Amber and Michael over his latest gaffe, he said: "I feel like it's a miscommunication between the Scottish and English.
"In Scotland this works, but here it doesn’t seem to.
"Here’s hoping that I’m just learning and then I'm gonna have the perfect chat for the right girl that walks in here."
Anton hasn't been shy about trying to make a move for Anna despite the fact she was coupled up with Sherif.
He's ramped up his efforts since the blossoming romance was cut short after the rugby player was booted from the show for 'breaking the rules' on Tuesday.
As the re-coupling looms, Anton pulled newly single Anna aside for a chat which ended up backfiring spectacularly.
He told her: “You look amazing tonight as always.
"You know I value you so much in here. You’re my favourite girl in here.
“Obviously Molly has come in and she is very much my type. You know that.
"I don’t want you to feel like you’re vulnerable in here. As long as I’m in here, I’ve got your back.
“As much as Molly is my type, she’s beautiful from the outside-in, you’re beautiful on the inside and out.
"You’re not necessarily my absolute type on paper but Molly, who is someone who is my type, I still wouldn’t want to be with someone like that.”
But his advances didn't exactly go down well with the brunette beauty who later admitted she didn't know if it was a compliment of not.
Amber and Michael then pulled Anton to one side to give him a telling off, branding him an "idiot."
It left the Scot hilariously asking: "What's wrong with me!?"
