Love Island's former contestant Antigoni Buxton has shared her thoughts on the shock exit of Jacques O'Neill.
Jacques decided to quit the ITV2 show earlier this week following the arrival of 2018 islander Adam Collard.
Paige Thorne was in tears as Jacques explained he wasn't able to be himself inside the villa, but would wait for her on the outside.
However, Paige looks set to grow close to Adam after she was picked to go on a date with him during Wednesday night's episode.
Now, former Islander Antigoni - who was recently dumped from the island - weighed in on the topic during an appearance on FUBAR Radio.
Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on Access All Areas, Antigoni said: "I'm really sad about Jacques leaving and I know that he's had quite a lot of trolling and stuff, it's really horrible to see. He's actually a really sweet, lovely boy."
The 26-year-old, who had only been on the show for eight days before she was booted from the villa explained how she felt viewers only got to see one side of the Islander: "You only see the boy boisterous kind of like laddy side, which hopefully people now that he's out will get to see this softer side."
She then added: "I'm kind of gutted because I think him, and Paige really had a shot of winning."
However, perhaps Paige is now thinking she could go on to win the show with Adam instead.
Thursday's episode saw her gushing about 2018 contestant Adam during a chat with Ekin-Su.
"I do really quite fancy Adam. Like, I don't wanna say the word 'fanny flutters' but..."
Some viewers were shocked at how different Paige was compared to when Jacques told her he was leaving and she was in tears.
Taking to Twitter, one person commented: "Isn’t this the same Paige that was crying her heart out when Jacques left? #LoveIsland."
Another said: "Nah Paige has forgotten Jacques loool #LoveIsland," while a third asked: "How can paige forget about Jacques so quickly #LoveIsland."
Someone else pondered: "Is paige putting a bit of an act on? Hope not #LoveIsland."
The Access All Areas show airs every Thursday at 6pm via fubarradio.com
