Love Island's Anna Vakili says there's 'something off' about Jake amid 'cop out' confession

Love Island star Anna Vakili has said that she thinks there is "something off" about Jake Cornish and is convinced he's got a game plan to win the series.

The former Islander, who appeared on the explosive 2019 series, also branded his "I love ya" confession to Liberty a "cop out".

Last night, viewers were left cringing as Liberty excitedly announced that Jake had told her that he loved her - only for them to voice their suspicions over his timing.

It all comes after Jake's comments from early on in the series about Liberty, saying that he didn't want to "rip her clothes off", was unearthed during the dramatic movie night.

Despite the pair appearing to patch things up, the rest of the Islanders have been left unsure as to how genuine Jake is - as is Anna.

Speaking to the Daily Star during a Facebook Live chat, she admitted: "From the beginning, I felt that there was something off with Jake. Because if, straight away, you don't have that physical attraction to the girl...

"I'm not saying he probably doesn't like her - he likes her and he's getting used to her and attached to her. But love? I don't see it."

Probed on whether she believed Jake's confession to Liberty was genuine, Anna said: "No. I think it was a cop out. I think it was just the right timing.

"She [Liberty] asked him [Jake] 'how do you feel', like how can he turn around be like 'I don't love you', like he's not going to do that.

"Especially with the amount of trouble he's in already. He's not going to turn around and be like 'I don't love you still'."

Anna continued: "I think from the beginning he had a game plan and he wanted to win.

"I'm not saying he doesn't like Libs, I think he does like her and is probably attached to her but I think he's made it much bigger than it is.

"I think he has a game plan to win the show. Like when he was in Casa Amor trying to persuade the boys to go do their thing. It's all just like a plan."

*Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
