Love Island's Anna Vakili refuses to step on scales after yo-yo weight gain

Love Island 's Anna Vakili has confessed she refuses to step on the scales after battling with yo-yo weight gain.

The reality beauty, 29, says she weighed 13 stone in January, and was the heaviest she's ever been.

Anna has also been battling with her weight during lockdown, telling fans she'd managed to lose 1.2 stone, only to put it straight back on.

During an Instagram Q&A session with her followers, Anna said she "doesn't stay skinny" and is "scared to go back on the scale".

Anna's candid confession came after a fan asked her: "How do you stay so skinny because I've done workouts every day and i seem to be getting fatter".

The brunette beauty replied: "I don't stay skinny, I was a whole 81kg in January. That was probably my heaviest.

"In quarantine, I lost weight and became 73kg, but now I've probably put it back on. I'm too scared to go on the scale!"

She added: "Lost a lot of weight when lockdown started and now the past few weeks put it back on (well I can see I have) but I refuse to go on the weighing scale. It's a struggle."

Anna, who has returned to her work as a pharmacist during the coronavirus pandemic, admitted she "didn't work out at all" before her stint in Love Island last year, but that she later decided she needed to be "stricter for health reasons".

After leaving the villa, she told MailOnline : "I don’t have a vigorous workout regime at all – I need to be stricter really for health reasons.

"I didn’t work out at all before going on the show. While I was in Majorca during lockdown was the only time I really thought 'maybe I should be a bit healthier'.

"I would have thought that coming out and having cameras in my face would make me want to work out but it hasn’t. I’ve been the opposite actually!"

Anna recently appealed to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to provide more PPE for pharmacists.

The star said he was shocked to realise the lack of protective equipment available after returning to her job to help fight coronavirus.
