Love Island 2019 contestant Amy Hart has voiced her support for Caroline Flack after she stepped down from hosting the show.
Amy, 27, said she has "a lot of respect" for Caroline because of the support she showed the islanders when they left the villa.
Caroline, 40, decided not to present the upcoming Winter Love Island series after being charged with assault last Friday following an alleged altercation with her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27.
"Caroline was really supportive to all of us," Amy told MailOnline .
She continued: "I really hope Caroline is OK. I have a lot of respect for her as a presenter and a person.
"She was really supportive to all of us last series. But obviously I can't comment on things I don't know about."
On Friday it was confirmed that Laura Whitmore is stepping in to replace Caroline.
She will host both the main show and After Sun and will be working alongside her boyfriend, the show's voiceover guy Iain Stirling.
And Amy, who left the villa early after having her heart broken by Curtis Pritchard, has voiced her approval.
She added: "She loves the show, so I think she will be a really good fit and her and Iain working together will be fun."
Caroline also voiced her approval of Laura by taking to her Instagram stories shortly after the news had broken.
She said: "I'm glad it's Laura... she loves the show as much as I do...
"Again... thank you for your continuous messages of support... it's a really rough time... but I'm doing all I can to keep my head above water and sort this all out..."
This time the show will be set in South Africa's Cape Town where a new batch of hot, sexy singletons will be cracking on and mugging off to their heart's content.
