Love Island's Amy Hart slams 'awful' Mike and defends Siannise in 'Aladdin' race row

Love Island 2019 star Amy Hart has slammed police officer Mike Boateng for his behaviour in the villa while he flitted between two women.

He had been picked by Leanne Amaning to couple up, but twins Jess and Eve Gale also had their eye on him and took him on a date.

She called him "awful", explaining: "He said to the twins, 'I would be happy if you picked me,' and then went back to Leanne and said, 'My head is with you, beautiful girl, etc.'"

Amy, who quit the show when she was left heartbroken by Curtis Pritchard, also stepped in to defend Siannise Fudge.

Siannise was accused of racism after she compared herself to Princess Jasmine and Nas Majeed to Aladdin.

Viewers took to Twitter to complain about the comparison.

"This Aladdin thing is rubbing me the wrong way," wrote one.

"Turned on #Loveisland to see the one Asian already be referred to as Aladdin" said another.

Another wrote: "They need to stop this Aladdin stuff you know".

A third added: "I got a feeling people are gonna be complaining to ofcom about the aladdin comments".

Speaking to Cheltenham Betting Offers , Amy rubbished these claims, and said: "People need to get over themselves don't they?

"She compares herself to Princess Jasmine, and she wants an Aladdin, so she was just talking about that."

She also took the opportunity to slam trolls who slate the islanders' appearances - urging them to criticise their actions and wrongdoings, but never their looks.

Amy also defended the twins for stealing Leanne and Shaughna Phillips' men - arguing that they had to choose someone, and it wasn't their fault.

In terms of current favourites, Amy revealed: "I think Shaughna, she's brilliant. I like Callum [Jones].

"If a day one couple wins it'll be Shaughna and Callum.

If you think back to series three with Kem and Amber, they were together but then both brought back different people from Casa Amor and they still went on to win.

"It's such early days, anything could happen. I liked Mike and Leanne but now my like is cancelled."

She also predicted Leanne could be the first islander dumped from the villa.
