Love Island's Amy Hart says bosses gave islanders 'talk of doom'

Love Island star Amy Hart revealed that show bosses gave her a "talk of doom" just before she entered the villa.

Amy said that producers sat her down before the show started and warned her that viewers at home might not like her and that other islanders might not fancy her.

The first episode of the show sees either the boys or girls standing in a line and being introduced to a member of the opposite sex, and if you fancy them you step forward - reports Mirror Online.

Amy and previous Love Island winner Jack Fincham appeared on GMB today and told Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard that they were terrified that no one would step forward for them.

Asked how the contestants preparing to head into the villa on Monday were feeling, Amy said: "I think they will be feeling nervous and excited.

"When they said to me, 'The cast will be here in 15 minutes,' I had this ball of adrenaline that came out as a last cry, scream, shout."

Kate asked Jack: "Did you know what you were in for at that point?"

Jack replied: "Oh I had no clue, I didn't know what I was going in for, you're so nervous but excited at the same time.

"All these people you don't know, loads of people will be watching you, you don't know what to expect."

Amy said: "And they tell you before you go in, in the talk of doom, people might not fancy you. The public might not like you, people in the villa might not fancy you, that was my worry."

Jack added: "If no one steps forward for you, you're left standing there thinking you're going home, it's horrible."

Asked who we should be looking out for this year, Amy replied: "I think Sharon.

"She is a clever girl, she is beautiful, they are all amazing but I want her to couple up with Aaron just so it's Sharon and Aaron."

*Love Island starts at 9pm on ITV2 on Monday June 28
