Love Island star Amy Hart said she was proud of herself after plucking up the courage to strut her stuff in a bikini on This Morning.
Amy, 28, rose to fame in 2019 after appearing on Love Island as one of the original Islanders.
And after almost turning down the job on This Morning, she took to her Instagram stories to share her pride at appearing on the popular daytime show.
Sitting on her sofa in a yellow summer dress, Amy told followers she was asked to be a guest on the show wearing a bikini, and that she immediately said “no” claiming she wasn’t ready to be seen in swimwear on TV.
“I’ve had a job offer in tomorrow... To wear a bikini on live TV and I was like ‘no, the answers no I’m not doing it,’ “she said.
However, after some thought about how she was in the villa at the ‘lightest she had ever been’ but still had things she didn’t like about herself, she decided to change her mind and take on the job.
She went on: “I was driving home, and I was thinking even when I went into love Island, and I was the lightest I had ever been and I was in the gym every day, I still had bits I didn’t like.
“So, I thought ‘Will I ever be bikini ready?’ So, in short, I am going to be on telly tomorrow in a bikini... See you there,” the Islander added.
The night before going on the show, the star treated herself to a roast dinner and shared it to her Insta story updating fans – captioning the photo: “Pre bikini on TV dinner.”
After her live TV bikini walk, she went straight to Instagram to let her 1.1m followers know she'd completed the job.
Posting an action shot from the day, she wrote: “DID IT! Big thanks to @Morning_Natalie @Thismorning for being amazing as always! What a lovely day!”
She went on to leave fans with an inspiration quote: “Actually felt v confident so the moral of the story is... feel the fear and do it anyway!”
Amy entered the Love Island Villa in summer 2019 but shortly after decided to leave after being heart broken by ballroom dancer Curtis Pritchard.
Despite not finding love, the reality star has been keeping busy over the years with her new found fame.
