Love Island's Amy Hart lands first role since leaving the villa

She's fresh from the rollercoaster experience of Love Island but Amy Hart has landed her first new role since leaving the villa.

It has been confirmed that the air hostess will join Loose Women as a guest panellist after impressing bosses during an interview on Monday.

Amy made an emotional exit from the ITV2 reality show after being left heartbroken by dancer Curtis Pritchard who dumped her following the programmes big Casa Amor twist.

Announcing the news, Loose Women's official Twitter account posted a picture of the 28-year-old alongside the caption: "NEWS JUST IN.

"We loved # LoveIsland's @ AmyHart1707 so much that we’re having her as a guest panellist next Wednesday!

"We can’t wait to welcome Amy back to the # LooseWomen panel."

Having her say on her exciting new gig, Amy commented: "I mean most people get flowers and chocolates for their birthday but... absolute dream come true!

"Thank you @ loosewomen I won't let you down."

Speaking to The Sun Online, Amy also said that she was "so excited," as she had "been a fan of Loose Women since I was 12".

She made her debut on the ITV panel show earlier this week to talk about her Love Island experience alongside Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Brenda Edwards.

During an emotionally charged episode last-week, Amy said that she was leaving the villa to 'start the rest of my life' - leaving her former beau and fellow Islander's in tears.

But now she has to watch Curtis crack on with model Maura Higgins as the pair continue to cosy up in the villa.

"Initially I didn't warm to Maura because of her treatment to Molly and her treatment of Elma," Amy told the ladies on the daytime show.

"However because she’s kind, caring and funny and we've both travelled a lot, so we bonded over that.

"You live in the same house as people – we did form a friendship."

Amy added: "So, then for her to once again move the goal posts to suit her situation to decide we were never friends in the first place because she wanted to get with Curtis, obviously it's not the most ideal thing.

"But I left on good terms with her because I want all of my friends to be happy."

She also revealed that Love Island fan favourite Ovie Soko had given her some much-needed advice.

Amy said: "Ovie said to me, three times in the same day - and obviously he speaks very slowly so it takes a very long chunk out of my day, but it passed the time - but he was like Amy, love is like a potion and you have to drink it.

"Sometimes it will choke you and it will make you sick and sometimes it will make you so inebriated that it's the best feeling in the world but you have to drink the potion to find out which one it's going to be."

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2. Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
