Love Island's Amy Hart 'joins Loose Women as guest panellist after impressing bosses'

Love Island's Amy Hart has landed her first role since leaving the villa - with Loose Women bosses offering her a place on the panel.

The 28-year-old air hostess left the ITV2 dating show with a broken heart after Curtis Pritchard dumped her on the day she was going to declare her love.

That pain will be numbed somewhat by the news that she will be the newest guest panellist on the ITV lunchtime show, after impressing in an appearance on Monday.

It has been reported that producers have moved quickly to secure Amy's services and she will make her debut on the panel next Wednesday.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Amy said she was "so excited," as she had "been a fan of Loose Women since I was 12".

With it being her birthday today, Amy declared the news as "the best present ever".

Amy appeared on Loose Women on Monday, alongside Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Brenda Edwards, and spoke about her Love Island experience.

She admitted that there was no love lost with Maura Higgins, who has now taken Curtis, who was coupled for so long with Amy.

Speaking to the panellists, Amy said: "Initially I didn’t warm to Maura because of her treatment to Molly and her treatment of Elma.

"However because she’s kind, caring and funny and we’ve both travelled a lot, so we bonded over that.

"You live in the same house as people – we did form a friendship."

Amy added: "So, then for her to once again move the goal posts to suit her situation to decide we never friends in the first place because she wanted to get with Curtis, obviously it’s not the most ideal thing.

"But I left on good terms with her because I want all of my friends to be happy."

*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
