Love Island's Amy Hart hits back at fake claims after dramatic villa exit

Love Island 's Amy Hart has hit back at claims the show is fake.

The reality star dramatically quit the show last week after having her heart broken by half-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard.

After sitting Curtis down to explain why she had to go, Amy made a speech that moved viewers to tears as she revealed she was quitting to her fellow Islanders.

Today, as she appeared on Loose Women, Amy hit back at claims the show is fake and that her emotional exit speech was written for her.

She told Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Jane Moore: "A lot of people have said, I've read everywhere, that it was written by someone else, but it wasn't because if you watch the one by the fire pit, I lose it half way through and run out of things to say."

Amy admitted that her phone "went mad" when she finally got it back after two days in hiding until her dramatic exit was aired.

And she says "6ft tall men" have come up to her in the street to say she made them cry.

The air hostess added: "I would not change anything, I'd do it all again tomorrow and taking myself out of that situation has made all the bad things go away and I only have fond memories of the villa."

Amy says she and Curtis worked out that they'd spent 724 hours together in the villa before they were separated by the Casa Amor twist and his head was turned.

She said that's why their connection had been so strong, as normally, you'd only spend a couple of hours a week with someone you were dating.

Amy left the show as she couldn't bear to watch Curtis cracking on with Maura, and it seems she's still not a big fan of the Irish beauty.

She said: "So initially I didn't warm to Maura because of her treatment of Molly and Elma."

She said she went on to form a friendship with Maura who "moved the goalposts" and decided they'd never been mates when she wanted to get with Curtis.
