Love Island's Amy Hart given 'talk of doom' by producers before going in villa

Former Love Island star Amy Hart has revealed she was given a 'talk of doom' by producers ahead of entering the villa two years ago and warned that people might not fancy her.

Former air stewardess Amy was one of the most talked about contestants on the ITV2 dating show in 2019, thanks, in no small part, to her ill fated romance with dancer Curtis Pritchard.

The two were early favourites to Love Island that year, after quickly falling for each other in front of millions of viewers, before Casa Amor changed everything.

The show's second villa, as it always does, stirred up plenty of trouble and, as well as leading to Michael dumping Amber in savage fashion, saw Curtis try and get with another girl.

On finding out about his betrayal, Amy was left in tears before uttering the now famous Love Island line "I came back here to tell you I loved you," as Curtis sheepishly looked on.

Amy, who has since been on Celebs Go Dating, ended up leaving the villa of her own accord and on Friday, appeared on Good Morning Britain, alongside 2018 winner Jack Fincham, to talk about the new series.

And it was during her chat with hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway that she shared the brutal warning she was given by bosses right before she went into the Love Island villa.

Amy explained: "They say to you before you go in, one of the things in the talk of doom, that people might not fancy you," as presenter Kate gasped in disbelief beside her.

Amy continued: "The talk of doom yeah - the public might not like you; people in the might not not fancy you.

"That was my worry 'cos your year...." as Jack jumped into add: "Basically if no-one steps forward for you, then you're left standing there in the middle of the pool on your own."
