Love Island's Amy Hart seen for the first time since leaving villa as she bumps into Laura Whitmore at airport

Love Island's Amy Hart was all smiles despite her broken heart, as she posed for a photo with Irish star Laura Whitmore.

Devastated Amy made the tough decision to leave the villa in an emotional episode aired last night.

The blonde told a tearful Curtis Pritchard she couldn't remain on the show and needed to 'heal' following their split.

However, she appeared delighted when she met Bray presenter Laura at the airport today.

Kind-hearted Laura tweeted a selfie of herself with Amy, writing: "Bumped into this sweetheart at the airport @amyhart1707 just wanted to give her a hug. She’s so lovely x"

Last night viewers praised Amy for her dignified stance as she broke the news that she was leaving Love Island.

The 26-year-old former air stewardess had been kept in hiding in Spain since walking out of the villa on Tuesday, and did not have her phone returned to her by ITV bosses.

Her shock exit saw her become the fifth islander to leave the show within 24 hours.

Last night saw Amy come out of hiding following extra therapy sessions from the show’s aftercare team in a bid to help her cope with her heartbreak.

Returning to the villa briefly, she finally revealed that she chose to leave the villa because she had fallen in love and her heart had been broken.

Holding Curtis’ hand on the terrace, a tearful Amy told him she still loved him, but admitted that neither would be able to move on if the were both under the same roof.

Also crying, Curtis pleaded with his ex-half-girlfriend to stay, but Amy replied: “I have to go.”

Her fellow Islanders were also left in tears as Amy explained: “When you love someone you have to let them go".
