Love Island's Amber Gill says she will talk about her sexuality 'when she's ready'

Amber Gill has urged fans to let her speak about her sexuality when she's ready, after pointing out that it's clear she's been hinting that she's open to dating women.

The former Love Islander said that she's been battling anxiety after declaring that she's "switched teams" and that men "make her feel ill".

Speaking to Johnny Seifert's podcast Secure The Insecure, Amber addressed the rumours circulating her sexuality.

"'I'll say what I want to say when I'm ready. There's no need to speculate, we can all see what I'm saying," she told him.

"When I'm ready to say what I want to say, then I will. I don't feel like I want to say anything whilst I'm single."

She added: "All this speculation makes it harder for people to want to say how they really feel and talk about their sexuality. Me putting out that tweet, I got anxiety last night... I was only trying to make a light-hearted joke about Love Island."

Amber, who has been commentating on this year's Love Island, was sharing her thoughts on the girls heading to Casa Amor.

The 24-year-old said the men "made her feel ill" after they all tried it on with the new arrivals in the main villa.

She tweeted: "Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life," she wrote.

"Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn't put myself through it again."

Although, since her tweet, she has continued to share her thoughts as well as other subtle hints that she may be exploring her sexuality.

She quoted: "'If you kiss a girl I will'," adding an arms crossed emoji, before adding: "This is why I switched."

In a recent post, she wrote: "Why did I get butterflies when I saw that girl and Dami go to the terrace. I need to stop watching this programme.

Before replying to her own tweet with: "BAD BUTTERFLIES guys. Like when someone comes to you as a woman."

She joked: "Sometimes people call me irrelevant so much that I start to believe.

"Then I tweet my actual feelings and 25 articles come out," she wrote with a heart face.

A follower replied to one of her tweets: "'Me and my gf were saying just yesterday that we predict you'll end up settling down with a woman.'

Amber replied to her with a GIF: "That's cute. Tell me why."

The fan wrote: "Because you seem to be very disenchanted by men these days, and we feel like a woman (the right woman) is more likely to appreciate you for all your complexities and inner fire.

"And treat you with the level of care/sensitivity that you deserve."

Moved by the interaction, she wrote: "Now I'm crying."

Fans were quick to jump on Amber's comments, adding rainbow flags and showing support.

"'Is this the best news for all?! [rainbow emoji]"
