Love Island's Amber Gill reveals what she really meant as cryptic tweet sparks Ovie romance rumours

Amber Gill has quashed rumours she's dating Love Island pal Ovie Soko, accusing fans eager for the pair to couple up of being "like pushy parents".

The Love Island winner walked away from the villa with then-partner Greg O'Shea , while Ovie left with India Reynolds.

While neither couple lasted long after the return to the UK, it seems Amber and Ovie have maintained the bond they developed on scree n.

And many fans of the ITV2 show have been hoping their connection might turn into something more.

Certain sections of the internet were sent wild with speculation when MissPap, for whom the Geordie star is a brand ambassador, tweeted: "This year's boys are cute, but BRING BACK OVIE."

Last year's winner quoted the tweet which the cryptic phrase: "Excuse me?"

And her fans thought they knew exactly what she meant, jumping quickly to the conclusion that Ovie and Amber are now dating - and she would therefore object to him appearing once again on the show.

According to The Sun , one person said: "What are u insinuating bruv?"

And another added: "Amber wants him for herself. we see u."

But Amber was quick to clarify what she'd really meant.

On Monday, she tweeted: "Looool guys I meant because I'm misspap's brand ambassador I should be their favourite not Ovie...

"Yous lot are like pushy parents DROPPPPP IT."

This amused plenty of her followers.

One fan replied: "Lool when you parents only meet one of your male friends so they keep asking if you're dating."

But some were still hoping for a romance, with one saying: "Ah shucks no I thought love was in the air especially with the sweet pics of you both on Instagram."
