Love Island's Amber Gill reveals contestants only listen to music on quiet days

Speaking out: Amber was a guest on Capital Breakfast (Picture: Capital)

Amber Gill has revealed housemates were able to listen to music on “down days.”

The Love Island 2019 winner, 22, said it would happen occasionally and would be the “best thing ever”.

Speaking to Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield on Capital Breakfast, she said: “We had a couple of down days and they would play music through the villa all day and that used to be the best day ever for me, but other than that, [they would not listen to music], not unless we had a party.”

Layfield, who is covering Roman Kemp with Howard, said: “I bet that’s why the parties look like they go off as well.”

Which Gill responded: “Yeah because you haven’t listened to nothing for ages and then the music comes out and you’re like ‘yes!’”

The former beautician was crowned the winner of the competition last month with Greg O’Shea, 24.

The couple have continued their romance outside of the villa but at a distance, as O’Shea lives in Ireland.

Gill revealed they currently have no plans to move in together yet, despite receiving pressure from others.

“Things are going really well but he’s got to be over in Dublin for his rugby and I’m kinda over here in London, so at the minute we can’t really decide what we’re going to do,” she said.

“[It’s been] a month and a week or something that I’ve known him. And it’s like ‘woah, woah, woah’ everyone wants me to move in with him, marry him, all sorts.

“It is going really well but it’s just hard because we’re both doing things that we love but just in separate countries.”

She added that she is also no longer speaking to Michael Griffiths, 27, who she was coupled up with until Day 30, when he recoupled with Joanna Chimonides, 22.
