Love Island's Amber Gill delivers damning verdict on this year's couples chances of 'true love'

Amber Gill doesn't think any of this year's Love Island couples are genuinely in love, as she delivered a scathing verdict on their chances of lasting during a chat on Loose Women.

Gateshead star Amber triumphed on the ITV show three years ago, with her series, also featuring the likes of Tommy Fury, Molly Mae Hague and Maura Higgins, regarded as one of the best Love Island runs to date. She won the final vote alongside Greg O'Shea, having been betrayed by Michael Griffiths during Casa Amor, but their romance didn't prove to be a long one, with them over just a few months later.

Like many former Islanders, Amber continues to watch the show and has become a Twitter favourite, thanks to her very frank reactions to each episode. But, while, during a guest appearance on Friday's Loose Women she admitted to being 'absolutely hooked' on the new series, she wasn't too kind when asked which couples she thought would go the distance.

Put on the spot by panellist Nadia Sawalha on who she thought was in "true love," Amber replied: "None of them." A shocked Nadia shouted: "Really?!" before, backtracking slightly, Amber replied: "No, no...I shouldn't really; I don't know," adding: "Gemma and Luca maybe, but I don't know."

Amber, who is about to release a romance novel with legendary publishers Mills & Boon also couldn't give an answer when she was asked who she thought would win Love Island this year, responding: "I've no idea at this point," as Nadia said her money was on Gemma and Luca.
