Love Island's Abi Rawlings gets back with ex after failing to find beau on show

Love Island's Abi Rawlings has reunited with her ex-boyfriend after failing to find love on the show.

The tattoo artist from Bournemouth made her debut on the ITV2 dating show as she was one of the bombshells in Casa Amor, and she was brought back to the villa by Toby Aromolaran, leaving Chloe Burrows dumped.

However, Toby ditched Abi for Mary Bedford, before changing his mind completely and reuniting with Chloe, leaving Abi with fellow newcomer Dale Mehmet.

They were dumped from the villa on day 46, and since leaving the show, Abi confessed she and Dale were “not a thing” and haven’t continued their romance.

Speaking to FUBAR Radio, the 27-year-old told hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng that she was “just really good friends” with Dale, and even tattooed him recently.

Abi insisted there was “nothing romantic there” and they were friends, and went on to admit that she was “actually dating someone at the moment”.

Initially refusing to give any further details about her new relationship, she then coyly revealed that her mystery man was “not from the show” but was an ex.

“He was actually the first person I messaged once I got my phone back,” Abi said, as she said she was the one who made the first move and decided to get in touch.

Abi candidly shared that she had been thinking about her former boyfriend while she was in the Love Island villa, and while things had never worked out before, this time it’s worked out, and she is “really happy.”

“I didn’t find love in the villa but it’s fine, it was waiting back home for me,” she sweetly stated.

Before entering the villa, she said that she loved being in a relationship, and “never stayed single” for very long.

However, she was keen to get along with as many people as possible in the villa, and make lasting connections with her fellow Islanders.

“When people ask ‘what is your goal in life?’, one of mine is to meet as many people as I can and make as many friendships and connections with people and not necessarily just here but all over the world,” she explained.

And she has made good friends with Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who have discussed their plans to get matching tattoos, and want Abi to ink them.

“Yeah, I’m getting a red love heart on the back of my arm. Me and Mary [Bedford], Chloe was going to get one as well,” she told the Daily Mail.

“If Abi can do it for us - 100%. She’s a great tattoo artist. I’d love that.”
