Love Island releases first teaser of new 2019 series

Love Island has released the very first look at the 2019 series after it was confirmed that the show will still go ahead.

ITV have teased fans with a series of short clips that only dedicated viewers will understand with references to the Do Bits Society and some of the shows iconic quotes.

Who can forget the classic, "I'm not your hun, hun", from 2018 Islander Hayley Hughes?

Anyway, excitement has been building around the upcoming ITV2 reality series which returns in a matter of weeks.

The mini-videos have been issued with the hashtag "Day Dot is coming" - another nod to contestants phrases when recalling their very first days on the show.

One clip features a pair of red swimming shorts floating in a pool emblazoned with 'The DBS', which was formed by ex-Islanders Wes Nelson, Jack Fowler and Josh Denzel last year and was used when ever they discussed some of the more intimate moments that went on in the Spanish villa.

Another features a piece of paper with the words 'my type' written on it, a play on one of the shows most famous sayings "my type on paper".

Eagle-eyed telly fans have spotted the ads appearing throughout Thursday (May 16) on ITV and clearly signals that the show will go ahead.
