Love Island pushed back to later time slot on ITV2 after return to TV

ITV have confirmed Love Island will not air in its usual time slot on Tuesday night.

The hit ITV2 show returned on Monday night after a two day absence following the death of its former host Caroline Flack.

Nearly 2 million viewers tuned into Monday night’s Love Island which began with a short tribute to Caroline, who found dead at her London flat on Saturday, aged 40.

Narrator Iain Stirling told viewers how the whole team had been left devastated by her death before paying tribute to Caroline, whose enthusiasm had been a huge factor in the show’s success.

As viewers wait to find out who will be dumped from the villa from the five vulnerable couples put at risk by their fellow Islanders, Love Island has been pushed back to the later time of 10pm on ITV2.

That could have a lot to do with the live coverage of the Brits 2020, which is airing on ITV until 10pm.
