Love Island producers come under fire for 'stirring' tensions in the villa with Faye and Teddy drama

The Love Island villa has been running wild with tensions among this year’s contestants after a number of bombshell moments over the weekend.

Following on from one of the most explosive Casa Amor trips of the series, producers have made sure to create as much entertainment from the situation as possible - and some viewers are not into it.

From showing images of Teddy kissing another girl while he was coupled up with Faye, setting up a meeting between Liam’s fling Lillie and current partner Millie, viewers have been taking to Twitter to air their frustrations over the past 24 hours.

One viewer wrote: “Producers took a good man and a broken woman, and intentionally hurt them both.

“Let's stop pretending that they are taking steps to protect the islanders' mental health,” referring to the misleading postcard sent to the girls of the boys’ antics in the other villa.

Another said: “I’m really not happy with the producers for stirring up sh*t between Teddy and Faye like this. The man has been pining for his partner more than any other guy.

“He had the hottest girl in Casa Amor stick it on him and is still only focused on his Mrs. Like why?”

A third wrote: “The Love Island producers are so messyyyyyyy and cold WOW.

“I’m waiting for Jake’s turn. He’s getting away too easily for me."

Others are also calling for producers to call out Jake. Although he didn’t stray from his girlfriend Liberty back in the main villa, he was seen spurring on the other boys to give the new girls a chance, and one fan of the show wrote:

“The love island producers need to spin the block on Jake though, he can’t get away with the chaos he encouraged.”

Love Island is back tonight at 9:00 pm on ITV and Virgin Media One.
