Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore 'seals £500k deal to host next series'

Love Island host Laura Whitmore has reportedly sealed a half a million pound deal to present the next series.

The 34-year-old telly presenter is said to have finalised terms on Thursday, according to reports.

It comes amid rumours the mum-of-one is stepping down from hosting duties.

However it seems she is going to be starring in another series.

A source told The Sun : "There has been lots of speculation that Laura might be stepping down, or that other presenters were being lined up for the role.

"Laura and show executives always hoped she would re-sign — it was just a case of making sure timings worked.

"She is excited to be going back to Casa Amor and seeing what dramas unfold."

Laura took over hosting duties for the ITV2 dating show after Caroline Flack stepped down in 2019.

In recent days, Laura opened up about the latest series of Celebrity Juice alongside co-star Emily Atack.

The duo revealed it will be 'naughtier than ever'.

"It's Celebrity Juice, so yes! Keith is naughtier than ever," Emily explained to heat magazine.

"I'm so grateful we're back. And it's my first time as team captain with a full audience. We honestly all cried when we did the first recording. It was emotional."

They also discussed the dream guests they would want on the series, which include Mike Myers, Jim Carrey and Winona Ryder.

Laura said: "I really want to have the Queer Eye team on - Tan France or Jonathan Van Ness. Any of them, actually. I'd love to get someone who maybe you wouldn't think would turn up to Juice, like Dame Judi Dench."

Meanwhile, Emily would love the likes of Miriam Margolyes to be on the panel game show.

The last series ended in December last year, with Ronan Keating, Johnny Vegas, Richard Blackwood and Katherine Ryan as guests.

Keith previously mentioned how he won't do crude jokes on the show as he believes it is inappropriate after becoming a dad.

He has hosted the show since 2008 and is known for his crude humour and outrageous behaviour on the show.

The Mirror has contacted Laura's representative for a comment.
