Love Island: NI islander Matt MacNabb sends fans wild with blunt dumping speech

Co Down Love Island star Matthew MacNabb has been sending fans wild after he called it off with fellow Islander Kaz Kamwi.

After the dramatic dumping in Thursday night's episode which saw the girls save Tyler as they wanted to make “a girl” happier in the villa, which was clearly Kaz, Matt saw her true feelings come to light.

In true NI fashion, what came next was probably the bluntest and straightforward dumpings ever witnessed on the show.

After Hugo, Amy, Sam and Clarisse said their goodbyes, Matt pulled Kaz for a chat which opened simply with “Yeah, we’re done” - three words that have now gone viral on Twitter.

The Downpatrick man continued: “We’re done. Feel like you’ve been kinda maybe lying a bit to yourself.

“What you’re saying, you know, that the barn or the doors slightly ajar, like it’s not. It’s wide open.

“Happy to be friends, that’s it.”

Without even giving Kaz a moment to reply, Matt then walked off which has sent viewers reeling.

The encounter, which will no doubt go down in Love Island history for all the right reasons, left Kaz saying she had “never met a more confusing boy in [her] life”.

While Kaz was left speechless after Matt’s rejection, Twitter was sent into a frenzy at his straight to the point speech which only took a total of 23 seconds.

One fan tweeted: “‘yeah we’re done’ yes matt put her in her place”.

“Matt representing every blunt speaking Northern Irish man on tonight's show,” another penned.

One wrote: “I rate Matt for that. a big long boy with big long respect for himself.”

Even the official Love Island Twitter page could not resist getting in on the drama after changing their bio to Matt’s now infamous words “We’re done.”

With another dumping on the horizon, things could be looking uncertain for Matthew now that he and Kaz have called it quits

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub
