Love Island news 2019: Are Tommy Fury and Joe about to come to blows over shock Lucie steal?

Love Island could be about to get its first fight as Joe Garratt struggles with Tommy Fury’s decision to couple up with Lucie Donlan.

The boxer last night revealed he wanted to pick “absolutely gorgeous” Lucie to pair up with, despite her telling everyone who would listen how happy she was with Joe.

And despite Tommy trying to be “polite” when making his big decision, the preview for tonight’s episode suggests Joe didn’t take things all that well.

“It hurts right now, I can’t lie,” the tearful sandwich man sighs after the fire pit showdown.

But his shocked face turns to an anger when Amber Gill stirs the pot by asking: “Do you not think something has been said in order for him to want to pick her?”

Tommy and Lucie get glammed up to go out on their first date, which looks a lot like a romantic meal for two on the patio.

Love Island fans furious as Tommy steals Lucie from Joe

The duo toast their new couple as Joe sits in the villa licking his wounds.

In the short teaser clip, Joe can be seen on the stairs by himself as he mourns the swift end to his budding relationship, having shared a series of passionate kisses with Lucie.

In the latest episode, Tommy sent shockwaves through the villa as he made his choice, having entered the villa hours after the first coupling.

This decision is far harder than I thought it ever could be,” he said. “I've had 24 hours to get to know the girls and I feel anyone in my position would do the same and I’m trying to be polite about it.”

Tommy continued: “She made me feel welcome, she’s absolutely gorgeous and every day I’m excited to know more and more about her. It’s my gut and that's all I can go with. I’m speaking from the heart and it’s all I can go with.”

Lucie looked upset as she was pulled from Joe, going up to join Tommy next to Curtis Pritchard and new flame Amy Hart.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
