Love Island narrator Iain Stirling answers big question about new series

Iain Stirling has answered Love Island fans' biggest question ahead of the next series.

ITV2 recently confirmed a new series of Love Island USA was to go ahead and will be broadcast here in the UK.

The American version of the smash hit reality series will begin airing on September 7.

Viewers will be able to follow season two of the US version of the international dating sensation, as a new cast of Islanders get ready to arrive on the Island of love – which this year, will be set in Las Vegas.

But fans were all asking Iain Stirling the same thing - would he be narrating the show?

Iain has provided the commentary on the UK version of Love Island since it was rebooted and returned to our screens in 2015.

The Scottish comedian has proved a hit with viewers, keen to hear his spin on the latest antics from the famous villa.

But the star took to Instagram to confirm he will not be narrating the US version of the show.

On his stories, he said: "For those asking I will not be voicing the American Love Island."

The comedian added a photo of an Islander named James who bears a slight resemblance to the Scottish narrator and joked: "But I will be going into the villa!!!"

When the first series of Love Island: Australia began airing on ITV2 in June, fans missed Iain's witty quips.

Iain is in a relationship with Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore, with the couple recently celebrating their three year anniversary.

This year, the couple appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox together.

The summer series of Love Island was cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, meaning Laura and Iain had to holiday elsewhere.

Throughout the summer, they have enjoyed a series of days out around Liverpool and Wirral.

The pair have shared a series of snaps from their time in Merseyside, with Laura even braving a dip in New Brighton last month.
