It’s one of the most popular TV programmes of the summer, and now Love Island has even inspired a mobile game.
‘Love Island The Game’ launched last year, and has now been updated with new stories, content and features.
Like last year, players take on the role of a virtual islander, and are tasked with ‘coupling up’, just like in the TV version.
But this year, players will be able to access a new wardrobe feature with 70 looks to choose from, allowing them to customise their personal avatars.
Other new features include a wider range of story options, and an increased choice of contestants to couple up with.
Nathalie Wood, a developer at Fusebox Games who worked on the game, said: “The game has attracted a wide range of age groups who play along and we have seen an interesting spike among women aged 30 plus.
“We put this down to having additional female writers on the team, who have helped shape realistic storylines, game play and language.”
While the game has only been out for a matter of days, it seems that many players are loving it, with some even desperately looking for ‘cheat codes.’
One player tweeted: “Anyone tell me the love island game cheat code to get more gems cos i’m sad as f*** and my fella has been stole from me cos of my s***ty outfits coz i can’t afford nice ones.”
Another added: “Anyone figured out the love island game cheat code yet??? Day 1 and my mans already been snatched & people are reading me to filth bout my cheap outfits.”
